With the repeal of Roe v Wade, individuals in many US states are forced to resort to unsafe abortion methods, especially in Texas. Around 68,000 people worldwide die each year from unsafe abortions, according to the National Institutes of Health. These statistics come before the stripping of protections Roe v Wade provided. The number post-Roe v Wade will undoubtedly rise.

This collection of photos is an abstract take on how the reversal of Roe v Wade by the US Supreme Court will result in people with reproductive capabilities resorting to unsafe abortion methods more often, and thus lead to thousands more unnecessary and preventable deaths.
